'The Phantom of the Opera' headlines Broadway Across Canada's 2017/18 season

With tickets now on sale, Broadway Across Canada’s 2016/17 season lineup at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre is shaping up to be a stellar one.

The season opens with with Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s phenomenal musical success, The Phantom of the Opera.

Next up is the brand new production of the romantic and beloved classic, The Sound of Music, and back by popular demand is the Grammy and Olivier Award®-winning Best Musical about Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, Jersey Boys.

Rounding off the selection is the classic story of the American dream, Motown the Musical.

The Phantom of the Opera

  • What: Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s phenomenal musical success, The Phantom of the Opera, comes to Vancouver as part of a brand new North American Tour.
  • When: July 12 to July 23
  • Where: Queen Elizabeth Theatre

The Sound of Music

  • What: Hailed as “sparkling, fresh and lively, by the LA Times, this brand-new production of the classic musical tells the tale of Maria and the von Trapp family.
  • When: September 12 to September 17
  • Where: Queen Elizabeth Theatre

Jersey Boys

  • What: Called “too good to be true” but the New York Post, Jersey Boys is the the true story of how four blue-collar kids became one of the greatest successes in pop music history.
  • When: November 14 to November 19
  • Where: Queen Elizabeth Theatre

Motown the Musical

  • What: Moown the Musical is the true American dream story of Motown’s founder Berry Gordy’s journey from featherweight boxer to heavyweight music mogul who launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson and many more.
  • When: February 6 to February 11, 2018
  • Where: Queen Elizabeth Theatre

Season ticket packages for the Broadway Across Canada vary in price depending on performance, seat location, and date of purchase. Four show Season packages start at $185 and are available as of Monday, January 9. More information on all the packages is available online.
