Vancouver’s jewel-box bakeshop Soirette Macarons & Tea will be hosting an elegant event on May 26, 2013 to launch their new collection of petits fours.
Soirette has teamed up with Serendipity Event Planning to create this glamourous and fun Sunday brunch inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s timeless style in the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
“We wanted to throw a springtime event where guests could dress up, sip passionfruit mimosas and have a fun time with their friends,” says Shobna Kannusamy, owner and pastry chef at Soirette Macarons & Tea. “The event is an ode to the iconic style in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and we thought it would be great to have partial proceeds from the event benefit the Cinderella project – an organization that helps youth living in disadvantaged situations attend their high school graduation by providing them with formal attire they would not otherwise be able to afford. The Cinderella Project helps students be able to celebrate that important milestone of graduating high school.”
While launching their new collection of petits fours, Breakfast at Soirette will also feature a delightful selection from Soirette’s signature high tea menu including: wild B.C. salmon lox & brie shortbread, brunch-style canapés and luscious miniature desserts. There will be a grand door prize from Tiffany & Co. and swag bags filled with items such as a signature Soirette macaron, exquisite loose-leaf tea, handcrafted jewelry by Vancouver-based designer nelumbo designs and a gift card from Cutie Pie Wax Bar.
The event will have the look and feel of Old Hollywood Glamour, and will also include a photo booth where fashionable guests can have their photos taken while enjoying the company of friends on a Sunday morning.
