RCMP are confirming that a body has been found on the property of UBC President and Vice Chancellor Arvind Gupta.

According to CKNW, UBC RCMP are investigating the discovery of a male body near President Arvind Gupta’s UBC mansion. The property, called the Norman MacKenzie House, is located on the University Endowment Lands, just west of the Museum of Anthropology on North West Marine Drive.

The body was reportedly found at 12:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon, though RCMP are not yet saying how the body was located or providing any information on the deceased, however they are confirming that the deceased is not President Arvind Gupta.
