After only seven months in operation in western Canada, Toronto-based Big Smoke Burger, known for its gourmet handheld creations, is expanding yet again. Its second Greater Vancouver-based location will open at Simon Fraser University’s Burnaby campus on February 15, 2016.
To celebrate the grand opening, the burger franchise will once again be offering customers free burgers. (Hello. FREE burgers!)
Learning from the Broadway and Cambie branch’s extremely successful free burger launch campaign last year, which saw scores of people line up around the block to receive their free burger, Big Smoke Burger’s SFU outpost will be giving away vouchers on opening day for a free 4oz burger redeemable on a future visit.
Vouchers will be valid from February 15 to March 16, 2016, granting customers the opportunity to come back on their own accord and enjoy a burger feed without having to endure the hunger pains triggered by waiting in line.
Big Smoke Burger’s SFU menu will feature customer favourites like the Lamb Burger (fresh lamb, cilantro-feta spread, lettuce and tomato), grilled-to-order AAA Canadian beef burgers, along with some welcome additions.
Menu items exclusive to the SFU location include the Good Morning Breakfast Sandwich (free-range local eggs, smoked Canadian cheddar, AAA locally sourced beef) and the Wake n’ Bacon Breakfast Sandwich (fried egg, bacon, smoked Canadian cheddar on an English muffin).
Big Smoke Burger’s second location will also offer a weekly selection of Cartems Donuts, $4 pints of local craft beer, and freshly brewed coffee on demand.
