Vancouver is home to some amazing photographers, and many of them are on Instagram. Every week, we receive thousands of photo submissions by email and social media with the hashtag #DailyHiveVan and/or #VancityBuzz.

A compilation of the best photos in and around Metro Vancouver is created every week; if you want your photos to be showcased, the easiest way is to simply upload your photo on Instagram and use a hashtag.

From the best of nature to the best of the urban, and everything in between, Vancouver’s best photos on Instagram will be featured in our next weekly photo gallery!

Inspirational Title: “He is my neighbor Nursultan Tuliagby. He is pain in my assholes. I get a window from a glass, he must get a window from a glass. I get a step, he must get a step. I get a clock radio, he cannot afford. Great success! ” – Borat of Kazakhstan About this photo: This was taken in the spring time and although it’s much worse in the summer time, faaaaack does 4:30am come early… but it was worth it. The only ripples on the entire lake were from me. This is a blend of 3 exposures, with one of the images getting double processed for a total of 4 images. I snapped a darker exposure for the sky, and then a lighter exposure for the foreground. I double processed the foreground shot so I could add detail on the logs while also reducing noise in the water. The middle exposure was taken to try and make the transition from light to dark smoother and more natural. It helped me get a bit more detail in the mountains/reflections. The sunrise was pretty spectacular and the reflections were awesome. The only regrettable issue I had was the cloudiness of the water (making it tough to see the stuff below the surface) which was from me kicking up the mud to get in to position. I love my waders Warning: Photographers sometimes use “inspirational quotes” as titles for their photographs. I’ve decided (for better or worse) to include  quotes that reflect my own ridiculous personality. You’ve been warned ;-)… if you look behind the curtain of this sarcastic, goofball you will find ridiculousness. #hashtagdouche #awesome_photographers #canadasworld #discovervancouver #explorecanada #imagesofcanada #longexposure_shots #thegreatoutdoors #vancitybuzz  #vancityvibe #viewbugfeature  #destinationearth #TheGreatOutdoors #huffpostgram #justgoshoot #VeryVancouver #artofvisuals #CanadianCreatives #earthfocus #jaw_dropping_shots#Places_wow #superhubs #vancityfeature #vancityhype #tlpicks #greatnorthcollective #peoplescreatives #ig_worldphoto #mobilemag #livefolk @nature.geography @[email protected]

In photography, lighting is very important. I was out kayaking around Downtown Vancouver to capture some cityscape shots during sunset, and the sunlight was covered by the clouds, making the city too dark to get a good capture. After some time of paddling around feeling slightly frustrated about the light, I turned around and see this sky being lit with sunrays. Few minutes later it lit the whole city for me to do photography! #photography #adventure #dailyadrenaline #nature #lifestyle #outdoors #bc #canada #explorebc #explorecanada #vancitybuzz #vancouver #vancity #mustbevancouver #ilovebc #hellobc #huffpostbc #travelcanada #beautifulbc #yvr #travelbc #destinationbc #tourismcanada #pnw #pnwonderland #pnwlife #pnwisbest #pnwcollective #pnwlove #exploretheworld
