If you’re looking for an open air venue beyond the Vancouver city limits where you can soak up the sun, here’s where you can find the best patios in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody (AKA the Tri-Cities).

Cactus Club Coquitlam

With a ton of seating, a covered area, and umbrellas galore, the wraparound patio at Cactus Club Cafe’s Coquitlam location is a great spot to kick back and relax on a warm summer’s day.

JOEY – Coquitlam

JOEY Coquitlam’s casual 79-seat patio is prime real estate on a sunny day. The L-shaped, open air spot features a fire pit and over head lamps, which provide just the right amount of light for when an afternoon of drinking turns into an evening of drinking.

The Gillnetter Pub

Sitting on the banks of the Pitt River, the patio at the Gillnetter is a local favourite. With a seafood forward menu, as well as traditional pub classics, it’s the perfect spot (if you’re 19+) to sit and sip the afternoon away. They even have an AYCE breakfast buffet on Sundays for $13.95.

Address: 1864 Argue Street, Port Coquitlam

Earls Port Coquitlam

Earls Poco is a popular spot for sun seekers. The 140-seat patio offers endless sunshine and a relaxed vibe. Under strung up lanterns and umbrellas, enjoy Earls’ solid menu choices, along with a refreshing beverage or two.

The Burke Beer House

It’s a bit smaller, but The Burke Beer House’s covered 20-seat patio is a great place to hang out and linger, especially on a sunny afternoon. Grab a seat and tuck into comforting dishes, and complete your meal with an ice cold pint.
