Score on Davie

This joint on Davie is known for their creative Caesars that are basically a meal on top of a  drink. But, the nachos here are hearty and really good. The Score’s dish comes with all the essentials already piled on, but you can make some flavourful combinations by adding their braised chicken, chorizo, or pulled pork for an extra zing. And don’t forget to add the mango guac.

The Naam

This vegetarian restaurant on West 4th is all veggies all the time. The Naam has two renditions of nachos for you to choose from.

Their nachos comes with cheddar, mozzarella and tomatoes with a side of salsa. If you want something a little different to satisfy your craving you’ll want to try the Tuscan nachos, this dish is the basic nachos with cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, red onions, and some jalapeños for those that like it spicy.

Shameful Tiki

The Shameful Tiki just might be one of the coolest bars in Vancouver, with their bygone tiki era decor, black and white movies playing, fun drinks, and share plates. The Shameful Tiki’s tropical nachos are seriously worth trying out. This dish is not only huge (you can order a half size) but it comes with a mix of jalapeños, corn, black beans, green onions, peppers, and some pineapple. You can add pork, chicken, or guac to the mix too.

Las Margaritas

Las Margaritas is a Mexican joint on West 4th in Kitsilano boasting two options to satisfy your needs. The house nachos are two crispy corn tortillas layered with refried beans, melted edam, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese, sour cream, and guacamole, they cut into four pieces. The Nachos Rancheros is where things start to get intense. This dish is corn tortilla chips covered in black beans, melted cheese, salsa, tomatoes, green onion, and lettuce which is then topped with black olives, sour cream, and a mound of guac. If you want even more toppings you can add chicken, ground beef or roasted beef.

Craft Beer Market

This beer market is a lot more than just beers, they also have tasty food. You’re going to want to hit up this joint for their barrel nachos. Craft’s rendition is not only served on a massive round dish but it’s truly meant as a sharing platter with the amount you get. La Taqueria

La Taqueria’s newest outpost on Broadway and Main Street in Vancouver is the only one of theirs to serve nachos. Salsa and Agave

Salsa and Agave is a cozy authentic Mexican restaurant in Yaletown, with a street patio to enjoy summer days on. The nachos here are called Killer Nachos for a reason, they’re really good. The dish is piled on with loads of cheddar cheese, beans, jalapeños, pico de gallo, sour cream, and some feta on top of crispy tortilla chips.

St. Augustines 

St. Augustines on Commercial makes their nachos with hand-cut tortilla chips. These crispy chips are topped with the usual nacho fixin’s and come with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole. If you feel like trying something a little different you can add their house beer-brined grilled chicken or the pulled pork. The best part of the nachos at St. Augustines?  No paying extra for your guac fix.

Bandidas Taqueria

This vegetarian and vegan restaurant has an excellent rendition of nachos. Bandidas has four variations on the classic light night munchie food, and you’ll want to try them all. The Hampton nachos come with cheese, smoky chipotle tofu, pinto beans, spicy Mexican corn mix, and fresh jalapeños. If you’re feeling adventurous you can try the G.L.D Nachos which comes with cheese, roasted pineapples, black beans, spicy Mexican corn mix, and jalapeños for a bit of a kick. You can make any of these nachos vegan by swapping for vegan cheese instead.

Main St. Brewing 

Located in Mount Pleasant just off East 7th Avenue, Main St. Brewing offers what they call Little Mountain nachos. Don’t let the name fool you, you get a lot of nachos with this dish. Corn tortilla chips are layered with Monterey jack cheese, house-made spiced black beans, red peppers, and corn salsa. You can add some beer-braised pulled pork or chicken to the mix too, and don’t forget to try out one of their tasty beers to wash it all down.

Tacofino

Tacofino has a lot of locations (six and a food truck) but only three of the outposts offer their nachos. You’ll want to hit up one of these locations and try them because they’re delicious. Made with roasted jalapeños, feta, cheddar, and Monterey jack cheese, with crema and salsa fresca they’re a great blend of smoky and spicy.
