Sometimes it feels like a crime to leave your dog at home on a sunny day while you enjoy some food and drink on a patio. So it’s a good thing Vancouver has some great dog-friendly patio options so you and your pet can refuel with a cold drink on a hot day.

Technically, the City of Vancouver doesn’t allow dogs or any pets on patios where food is being served, due to health concerns.

However, plenty of places provide the perfect tie-up space for your pooch to spend some time with you while you grab some food, they even provide water, treats, and shade for them.

Score on Davie

The Score in Vancouver’s west end is known for their crazy collection of Caesars but they’re also dog-friendly. This haunt has a great patio where you can tie up your pooch, they even get some free water, and of course a whole lot of love from passersby while you try out one of their Caesar concoctions.

The Burrard location of this Vancouver joint has a great patio for your dog. Situated under the Burrard Bridge along the seawall, it’s the perfect mix of sun and shade. Right on False Creek, this casual Irish pub’s sun-drenched patio offers a gorgeous waterfront view.
