Thanks to a wide variety of drinking establishments dotted in and around city, when it comes to choosing somewhere to enjoy a drink in Vancouver, we are absolutely spoilt for choice.

Yet despite the long list of bars to choose from, when the situation entails grabbing a pint, nothing beats the coziness and casual atmosphere of a British-style pub.

The King’s Head

Occupying space in a Tudor-style building built in 1897, The King’s Head established in 1973 is a casual neighbourhood tavern serving typical English pub fare, including fish and chips, and Shepard’s Pie, in addition to American comfort classics (wings, ribs, and mac and cheese). The pub’s interior has been thoughtfully restored with antique furnishings and oak paneling from the original Eaton’s Spencer Building.
