The Beaumont Studios has been an integral part of Vancouver’s artistic community for the last decade. Since 2003, their 16 studios have maintained a 98% -100% occupancy rate and have been home to over a thousand incredible Vancouver based artists. Their theatre has hosted thousands of music, theatre, dance, and art-based events and provided event producers and performers a dynamic working environment that has inspired and supported artists from every imaginable discipline. Their gallery has launched careers and highlighted the amazing talent of many of our city’s best artists and provided the public with a space to experience creativity as a daily part of life.
The Beaumont has a long, proud history of supporting and inspiring the arts in Vancouver but like many cultural spaces they find themselves struggling to exist in a neighbourhood that is rapidly developing around them. For the last year they have been facing these challenges and exploring a variety of opportunities to overcome them but THERE IS HOPE!
With the support and assistance of organizations like Vancity Community Foundation and Credit Union and Vancouver’s Arts & Cultural Department, their Board of Directors has developed an exciting new 10 year strategic plan which highlights an amazing opportunity to grow and expand their non-profit efforts, their programming and their space while maintaining our current home.
By rallying together the Beaumont’s tenants, community partners, and allies, their Board has launched the campaign that will increase public awareness about the work they do, the threats they face and how simple the solution is to their current challenge really is.
