The Happiest Place on Earth? Uh… maybe not.

After days and days of secret construction, the people of North Somerset in the United Kingdom were surprised by the unveiling of Dismaland, a twisted, depressing, twist on the legendary amusement park.

Headed up by faceless guerrilla artist Banksy, the park features stagnant pools of water, impossible midway games with prizes like fish sticks in plastic bags, a ramshackle simulacrum of the iconic Cinderella Castle, and installations by contemporary artists from around the world.

The park will also host live shows every Friday and Saturday night until the end of September, featuring acts like hip-hop duo Run the Jewels, and the formerly imprisoned Russian activist punk band Pussy Riot.

The park’s official “locals only” opening took place today, after press and media events.

Check out a video by Mashable on their visit to Dismaland.
