Landslide halts Amtrak service between Seattle and Vancouver

Mar 30 2017, 10:42 pm

There is currently no Amtrak passenger train service between Seattle and Vancouver, after a landslide blocked the tracks near the Canada-US border on Wednesday.

Amtrak says a moratorium preventing passenger trains from using these tracks is in place until Friday morning, March 31, and noted that passengers would be bused to their destination in the meantime.

Passengers with travel plans can confirm their train’s status, change their plans or review refund information by calling 1-800-USA-RAIL.

Further updates can be found on Amtrak’s website.
