The Amber Alert for missing four-year-old Delilah Felton has been deactivated after she was located in Surrey at approximately noon today.

According to Vancouver Police, the toddler was found safe by RCMP with her mother, 46-year-old Angela Hanley, in Surrey. It is alleged that her disappearance was a parental abduction, and as a consequence Hanley is now in the custody of police.

“Officers began an initial investigation and quickly became concerned for the child’s safety,’ reads a statement by police. “The suspect in the abduction does not have custody of the child, has no fixed address, and is involved in a high-risk lifestyle and behaviours.”

Police say this was the 19th time the Amber Alert program was activated in BC since it was implemented in 2004. The Amber Alert for Felton was activated Thursday night.

The investigation on the alleged abduction continues; at this time, no charges have been laid.
