A 27-year-old man was shot during a home invasion in Aldergrove on Wednesday evening.

Just before 7:30 pm, police were called to the area of 266 Street and 29 Avenue, after the suspects “forced their way” into a home, said Langley RCMP Cpl. Craig van Herk.

The victim – a Langley resident – was shot during the incident and was taken to hospital with what police believe are non life-threatening injuries.

The suspects then fled the scene.

While details remained scarce on Thursday morning, police said they believe the incident was targeted.

Langley Serious Crime Section has now taken conduct of the investigation and remain on scene.

In the meantime, police are asking for anyone that may have witnessed anything and have not yet spoken with police to please contact the Langley RCMP.
