What do you want to do this holiday season? Go on a dream vacation somewhere warm? Give back to charity? Up your shopping game and find the best deals? Well on Cyber Monday, you can do all three, at once.
On November 30, Transat is holding their third Transat Auction. This auction, which takes place on Twitter, lets Canadians bid against other travel enthusiasts and cold weather haters, in order to land their next vacation. You are able to bid on 20 auction lots consisting of all-inclusive packages to popular sun-drenched destinations like Mexico, Curaçao, Panama and St. Maarten, as well as roundtrip flights to Europe. Starting bids are as low as $5. So really, you could go on a romantic European get away for the same price as your daily dose of Java.
By bidding in the Transat Auction, you’re not only getting great vacation deals but also supporting a worthy cause. All funds raised through the auction will be donated to SOS Children’s Villages. This non-profit humanitarian organization provides caring family homes to more than 80,000 orphaned and abandoned children in 134 countries.
Since Transat partnered SOS Children’s Villages in 2009, over $2 million have been raised by Transat and its customers, plus, past Transat Auction have raised over $68,000 alone.
“It’s a new take on Cyber Monday deals – a win for our consumers and a big win for SOS Children’s Villages, a cause that’s close to our hearts.” says Geneviève LeBrun, Vice President, Marketing, Transat Tours Canada. “Consumers get insane deals and lavish vacations, all while embracing the true meaning of the holidays: Giving back and showing you care.”
