Looking to travel to Europe next summer? Well, Air Canada just made the journey across the pond a little bit easier. And the good news is: you can already start booking tickets.

Canada’s largest airline announced Wednesday morning it is adding seasonal non-stop flights from Vancouver to two of Europe’s biggest transportation hubs: Frankfurt, Germany and London Gatwick.

The routes will take flight just in time for the summer travel season. Starting June 1, 2017 and June 8, 2017 respectively, Air Canada will offer daily flights from YVR to Frankfurt and three-times weekly flights from YVR to London Gatwick.

The new service routes promise to be great news for BC’s diverse tourism industry, according to jobs and tourism minister Shirley Bond.

“Already this year, we’ve seen year over year European visitors increase by nearly 18 per cent,” Bond says. “These new flights will bring even more visitors while creating jobs and spin-off benefits in our hotels, tourism attractions and businesses.”
