It’s not about a UFO sighting, but it’ll tickle your curiosity just the same.
At the next After Hours on February 12, you’ll have the unique opportunity to get closer to aquatic life at the Vancouver Aquarium than ever before. During this adults-only evening event, gain an intimate look at the Aquarium’s animals with special programming and shows, and capture a taste of our new spring feature opening February 6 – Vancouver Aquarium Up Close.
New to After Hours, you’ll have the unique chance to ask Aquarium staffers questions about their daily roles and the animals they care for during the Ask the Staff panel-style program. Slither up to some reptile friends during an Up Close with Snakes show, get hands-on in our Wet Lab (filled with more than 6,000 spineless animals representing nearly 150 species!), or witness a dissection to discover the inner workings of a marine creature.
You can also take part in an epic 4-D adventure – sense the pressure, feel the perils and smell the triumph as you celebrate Earth as never before in BBC’s highly-acclaimedPlanet Earth: Shallow Seas™ 4-D Experience. In “Shallow Seas,” Sir David Attenborough navigates the waters that border the world’s continents and shares his knowledge on a variety of aquatic animals, including humpback whales and pygmy seahorses. The Aquarium’s 4-D theatre uses sights, sounds, smells and other special effects to thrust viewers into an amazing aquatic world.
