From Wednesday, February 21 to Sunday, February 25, the stadium will be transformed for the epic 47th annual BC Home + Garden Show, and you’ll want to check it out. There’s literally something for everyone, whether you’re thinking about redesigning your home or garden, or simply want to immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the show.

You’re guaranteed to leave feeling inspired as 425 local brands and companies will be there sharing their knowledge and unique products/services. But if you need any more convincing, here’s a look at five must-see events happening at the show.

HGTV Stars on the Main Stage

If you’re seeking sweet relief on a home improvement project, look no further than Canada’s most popular renovation experts, landscapers, and designers on the Main Stage. Celebrity presenters including HGTV Canada’s Brian McCourt and Sarah Keenleyside of Backyard Builds, Danielle Bryk and Carson Arthur of Home to Win, and contractor Kenny Gemmill of Love It or List It Vancouver will join a lineup of local favourites including Jamie Banfield and Sarah Gallop, to deliver insight so that you can get your home and garden game on point.

Tiny Home Village

The Tiny Home trend has arrived. You can step into the Tiny Home Village and explore these wonderfully small (but mighty) homes designed and outfitted by Mint Tiny House Company (a locally-owned, husband and wife-operated tiny home builder based in the Lower Mainland). You’ll have the chance to marvel at each tiny home’s unique design features, inventive use of space and upscale finishes. Who knows, you may just start dreaming of downsizing.

Cooking Stage

Can you handle the heat? If so, you’ll want to check out The Cooking Stage for seminars and live demos from the city’s most respected chefs including Mike Ferreira of Heirloom and Fable’s Kurtis Perry. Vancouver’s top culinary artisans will be bringing all their trade secrets to the stage covering hot dining topics and trends. Quench your thirst and satisfy your taste buds with can’t-miss presenters all weekend long.

Dining Alfresco designed by Jamie Banfield Design

Outdoor entertaining dreams come alive at Dining Alfresco. You can walk through four displays designed by Jamie Banfield Design which are perfect for any style. From family friendly or modern chic to masculine and boho, you’ll be sure to walk away with inspiration to make your next garden party the best one yet.

Vancouver Sun Gardeners’ School, landscaped by Cedar Rim and Landscape Design

Growing apart from your garden plot? Rediscover your lost love for all things leafy with daily seminars from the Lower Mainland’s top gardening gurus, with topics ranging from urban gardens to edibles and everything in between. Dig in!

Tickets to the show are on sale now, costing $16 for adults and $13 for seniors at the box office. However, you can snap yours up online in advance via the BC Home + Garden Show website and save $3 when you do, courtesy of RenovationFind.com.

The show attracts more than 55,000 visitors every year and has been a staple on Vancouverites’ calendars since 1971. So, it’s a good idea to add it to yours right now!
