This new 360° Red Bull Joyride video will leave your head spinning

What other sporting event features armoured cyclists hurtling down dirt tracks and ripping around turns, before soaring through the air, all while racing against the clock?

Here’s a hint: just this one.

Now in it’s sixth year, Red Bull Joyride is the biggest slopestyle mountain bike competition in the world, and the season-defining stop of the Crankworx Triple Crown of Slopestyle.

Bringing together athletes from all corners of the globe, the gravity-fuelled showdown, which takes place in Whistler this month, is a blend of classic downhill mountain biking, dirt jumping, and BMX. Athletes are judged based on a combination of trick difficulty, technicality and style as they speed through the 650m long course at roughly 33 km/h, hitting upwards of 10 different obstacles as they travel anywhere from 15-20 ft in the air.

Sounds pretty epic right?

Well, it’s even more impressive when you watch the action from the rider’s perspective in Red Bull’s latest video.

This 360 degree, 4K experience starring riders Ryan Howard, Justin Wyper and Dustin Gilding gives you an idea of what you can expect on August 21 when Red Bull Joyride returns to Whistler.
