It was a busy night for RCMP in Surrey with two pedestrians hit by vehicles in separate incidents.

A three-year-old was rushed to hospital on Halloween night after he incurred serious injuries from being hit by a pick-up truck in Surrey. The boy’s injuries are centred around his legs.

The incident occurred at approximately 7 p.m. near the intersection of 134th Street and 62nd Avenue. At the time, the boy was trick-or-treating. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

Later in the evening, at about 9 p.m., a Blue Toyota Yaris hit a 57-year-old man on the 8300 block of 144th Street. The man was rushed to hospital and the driver stayed at the scene.
