10 artists creating murals at this year's Vancouver Mural Festival

The city’s largest annual celebration of free public art is almost here – the Vancouver Mural Festival.

From August 7 to 12, Vancouver will become much more colourful with 60 brand new street art murals going up on the walls of buildings across Mount Pleasant and Strathcona.

The second annual event is being presented by Create Vancouver Society and by attending, you’ll get to see works of art by local and global visual artists. And to make it even better, you can enjoy music, food, family activities, and markets, throughout the six-day festival.

More than 350 submissions from global muralists were received by the Vancouver Mural Festival before they shortlisted a total of 60 local and international artists.

And to celebrate, we’ve selected 10 of the artists who will be working their magic at this year’s festival by showcasing their artworks on Instagram.
