The body found in the 2400 block Ancaster Crescent on December 12th has been identified as 20 year old Burnaby resident Xin Shi “Steven” Dong.

Shortly after 6:30 p.m., Dong’s body was discovered between the homes of the quiet residential neighbourhood near the Fraserview Golf Course.

The victim is known to police and was associated to gangs and connected to the drug trade. It is still early in the investigation, but the murder does appear to be targeted.

Anyone with information about the murder of Xin Shi “Steven” Dong is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Major Crime Section at (604) 717-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
