2-year old boy dead after being hit by car in Pitt Meadows

A two-year old boy is dead after he and his mother were hit by a car in Pitt Meadows this morning.

The incident occurred at Meadowtown Centre at approximately 9:45 a.m. Paramedics arrived shortly and performed CPR on the boy. However, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The toddler’s mother was also taken to hospital, but her conditions are not known at this time. The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with police who are investigating the cause of the incident.
