100 vehicles keyed in Coquitlam on Saturday

On April 26, 2014 at approximately 7:00 a.m., RCMP Coquitlam Detachment were called to the 900 block of Rochester Avenue, Coquitlam and surrounding area after numerous residents discovered their vehicles had suffered large scratches in the paint. This particular type of vandalism to vehicles is referred to as being keyed.

There have approximately 100 vehicles reported being damaged in this manner as of this date. The investigation has determined that the vandalism may have taken place during the early morning hours of April 26th, 2014 between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.

At this time the investigators have not identified anyone responsible for this act and are asking members of the public, who may have seen something or have information that may be of assistance, to please contact RCMP Coquitlam Detachment at (604)945-1550 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
