You’ve been shopping for hours, and that means you’re hungry.

Although it’s handy, the foodcourt isn’t calling your name because you’ve been there a million times. You want something different.

And, starting April 5, you can get just that.

Yorkdale Shopping Centre is launching the retail space CONCEPT, and its first group of retailers will focus on the best of Toronto’s food scene. This means you can enjoy food at Yorkdale from vendors you can normally only get downtown.

CONCEPT is opening up near the TTC entrance, across from NYX, at 10 am on Wednesday, April 5. And to celebrate, the first 100 customers in line at will receive one free food item from one of the food vendors at CONCEPT Yorkdale.

So if you needed an excuse to go shopping, you’ve just found an amazing one.

This food heaven showcase will be the first of many at Yorkdale Shopping Centre‘s CONCEPT space as different retailers will be frequently popping up.

Yorkdale Shopping Centre is Canada’s most successful shopping centre and it’s allowing innovative brands to gain an anchor retail position at CONCEPT so they can earn brand exposure. This allows huge exposure to consumers without the long term commitment normally required.

CONCEPT is set to feature the most exclusive shopping experiences. And you can expect to see the best in taste, style, and technology, on display here all April long.

Beginning his week, you’ll be able to find these amazing independent Toronto restaurants at Yorkdale:

Eva’s Original Chimney
These chimney cake cones, filled with soft-serve ice cream and homemade toppings are sure to satisfy many-a-sweet-tooth. Two Yorkdale exclusive cones will be debuting at CONCEPT.

Nadia’s Chocolates
Just in time for Easter, Nadia’s elaborate chocolate art make for a great gift or a little personal indulgence. They will be debuting 3-foot high chocolate Easter Garden sculptures at Yorkdale.

Uncle Tetsu
The line ups at this Japanese cheesecake shop are endless. Shoppers at Yorkdale will have the opportunity to experience these delightfully fluffy cheesecakes and pastries.

Pie Squared
This eatery is built around the simplicity of U.K. style meat pies mixed in with clever new flavours all wrapped into a delicious pocket – easy for eating while strolling through Yorkdale.

And with new fashion brands scheduled to appear at CONCEPT after this, you can expect another awesome lineup to show up soon.
