Celebrate World Book Day by swapping your book for a free one on April 20

Books: They take you to a fantasy world you’d otherwise never get to explore – which is why you should celebrate World Book Day.

It goes without saying that the benefits of reading are never ending. You become a smarter person because you’re learning new words all the time. You start to think about the world in a different way. Reading exercises your brain which helps improve your memory. Plus, taking that time aside for yourself reduces stress.

Even before we’ve finished reading one book, we’re always excited to find the next. We might forget to get off at the right bus stop, or forget where we are in the first place. In smaller communities, we’ve seen the magic of events that allow us to leave a book in order to receive a new one.

And now you can have the same experience – but this time, it will be even bigger and better. For just one day Torontonians will exchange books in celebration of World Book Day. After all, literature has touched every one of us, and that’s definitely cause for a huge celebration.

Join Amazon’s World Book Day event this Thursday, April 20 for an afternoon of book swaps, latte sipping, photobooth fun, and more. All you have to do is bring one of your own books to swap it for another. Better yet, you’ll be surrounded by others who love to read just as much as you do. World Book Day is officially Sunday, April 23 but now you get to celebrate it a little early.

As an added bonus, all guests will receive free Kindle gift cards.
