Woman in critical condition after slamming into parked excavator
A woman is in critical condition after crashing her car into a parked excavator Tuesday morning, police say.
According to Sgt. Kerry Schmidt, the collision took place in a construction area near the eastbound lanes of Highway 401, east of Avenue Road.

From images shared online by Sgt. Schmidt, the woman’s blue sedan is the only vehicle involved in the crash.
The collision caused road delays this morning, however, according to the OPP all lanes are now reopened.
