It seems like the whole city came out to celebrate Canada 150 in Toronto last weekend. Even a few retired TTC streetcars made an appearance.

The Toronto Transit Commission put streetcar models PCC 4500 and the Peter Witt 2766 into service along Harbourfront last Saturday and Steve Munro captured photos of the old streetcars on route, noting on his blog that,

The parade of four cars made a bit of a mess of service during a very busy day a the waterfront thanks to the so-called transit priority signals that simply could not deal with that many cars trying to operate close together. All the same, it was good to see the old cars out for a spin.

For those that missed it (chances are you had your back turned while you stood in awe of a giant rubber duck), here are a few photos of the old cars in operation.
