Winterlicious, Toronto’s annual prix fixe promotion, is back once again. Reservation lines are now open for seatings at lunch and dinner between January 27 to February 9.

Offering three-course menus for $18, $23, and $28 at lunch, and $28, $38, and $48 at dinner, over 220 restaurants are set to participate this year… Of course, if you’re a vegetarian, the options are somewhat more limited.

For vegetarians who want to take advantage of all three courses without modifications AND don’t want to be stuck eating a fruit salad to start and a sorbet to finish, here are some of the most plentiful meatless menus being offered at Winterlicious this year.

Tabülè

Lunch $18 / Dinner $28
Vegetarians and vegans will find an abundance of options at this Middle Eastern restaurant in midtown. To start, choose from up to six meatless appetizers, entrees featuring falafels or fried eggplant, and all of the desserts.

Beaumont Kitchen

Lunch $23 / Dinner $38
While there’s just a single vegetarian entree on offer, the promise of Wild & Tame Mushroom Risotto sounds super enticing. For the first course, choose from at three to four options including cream of mushroom soup and goat cheese crostini.  All the desserts are on the table.

The Craft Brasserie

Lunch $18 / Dinner $28
At this kitchen and beer hall in Liberty Village vegetarians will find two entrees choose from. At lunch, smoked tomato salsa and cream of mushroom soup are among the veg-friendly starters while the second course offers selections like a black bean veggie burger and a beet goat cheese salad. At dinner options include a mushroom leek pappardelle.

Diwan

Lunch $28
Apps like red lentil soup with garlic and coriander, sweet onion bhaji, and cabbage salad with beets and almonds can all be made vegan, meanwhile, the vegetarian ouzi featuring filo pastry filled with rice, lentils, mushroom and almonds sounds like an excellent entree whether you’re a vegetarian or not.
