There will be a one-day closure on Line 3 Scarborough this weekend, as TTC crews carry out maintenance and state of good repair work.

This Saturday, November 17, there will be shuttle buses running, operating via Midland Avenue to Scarborough Centre Station, with stops at Kennedy, Lawrence East, Ellesmere, Midland and Scarborough Centre stations.

Lawrence East Station will be serviced at Lawrence Avenue East and Midland Avenue, and Ellesmere Station will be serviced at Lawrence Avenue East and Ellesmere Road.

Ellesmere, Midland and McCowan stations will be closed but all other stations will remain open for fare sales and transfers to surface routes. All local surface connections will continue to run as scheduled.

According to the TTC, periodic Line 3 closures are required as the TTC undertakes a complete life-extension rehabilitation of the tracks and vehicles to provide a more reliable and comfortable service over the next 10 years.

The line will be decommissioned following the opening of the Scarborough Subway Extension.

Wheel-Trans will also be available upon request from any station during the weekend. Customers can speak with a TTC staff member to request Wheel-Trans service from any station and for information about service frequency.

Regular service resumes Sunday, November 18 at 8 am.
