TTC launching new bus service in Etobicoke (MAP)

Jun 22 2018, 9:20 pm

There’s a new TTC bus route coming to the city’s west end.

On Monday, June 25, the TTC will introduce the new 176 Mimico Go bus, with service to Mimico Go Station.

According to the TTC, the route will improve access to and from the station for local residents and provide an affordable alternative to driving into the downtown core.

The weekday service will run every 30 minutes from 6 am to 9 am and 3 pm to 7 pm.

“Currently, there are no direct transit connections between Mimico GO Station and neighbourhoods east of the station,” states the Toronto Transit Commission. “The 176 Mimico GO route increases the volume of service in the area and extends coverage to some streets not serviced by the TTC.”

Commuters using this new route will pay a regular TTC fare. If customers are connecting to GO Transit services at Mimico GO Station using a PRESTO card, the total cost of the trip will be reduced by $1.50 for adults and $0.55 for students and seniors. Customers who connect to the TTC from GO can use the TTC transfer from their first ride to board the second vehicle.

The new route is shown below.
