Jul 20 2017, 11:26 pm

Another weekend, another TTC closure in the city.

This weekend, from July 22 to 23, the portion of Line 2 Bloor-Danforth between Broadview and St George stations will close for City of Toronto and TTC work on the Prince Edward (Bloor) Viaduct. Shuttle buses will operate frequently, stopping only at subway stations along the route.

Bay Station will also be closed. All other stations will remain open for the sale of fares.

To improve shuttle service, several larger articulated buses will be used to supplement service. These buses will not enter Broadview Station. After dropping off customers in front of the station, they will loop east on Erindale and Hurndale Aves., south on Playter Blvd., before continuing west on Danforth Ave, according to the TTC.

Further, Toronto police will temporarily restrict parking on Erindale Ave. between Broadview Ave. and Ellerbeck St. and on Playter Blvd. between Hurndale Ave. and Danforth Ave. from 3:30 am Saturday to midnight Sunday. No permit parking will be lost due to these restrictions.

Regular subway service resumes Monday at 6 a.m.

The next scheduled subway closures are:
July 29-30 – Line 1 Yonge-University: Sheppard West to St George for ATC signal work.
Aug. 12-13 – Line 1 Yonge-University: Sheppard West to St George for ATC signal work.
Aug. 19-20 – Line 2 Bloor Danforth: Kipling to Islington for track work.
