College Station will be closing early due to fare gates construction

The TTC will be closing College Station for four nights over the next two weeks.

The transit agency will be installing the new PRESTO-equipped fare gates on November 14, 15, 16 and 20, and will be closing at 10 pm on those nights. These early closures are necessary to complete the floor work that cannot be done while the station is open, according to the TTC.

During the closure, subway trains will pass through the station without stopping. Customers will need to use Wellesley or Dundas stations to access the subway.

Over the coming weeks, two other subway stations will close for the weekend or early for fare gate construction. These include:

Osgoode Station: weekend closure – 10 p.m. Dec. 1 until 6 a.m. Dec 4
Queen’s Park Station: early closure – 10 p.m. Dec. 6, 7, 11 and 12

When the fare gate installation is complete next spring, every subway station and every entrance will have new gates and accept PRESTO. New fare gates are in place today at 49 stations and 79 entrances.
