The weather outside might be cold and frightful, but last night Kensington Market was warm and delightful.

On Thursday, as the city officially kicked off the winter season and the longest night of the year, Kensington Market hosted its annual Winter Solstice Festival, a 28-year tradition that includes a community parade, masks, and homemade lanterns that are all illuminated by the glow of fire breathers and spinners.

The main attraction, of course, is the massive finale in Alexandra Park at Dundas and Bathurst streets, where spectators can enjoy the Fire Finale Performance.

And it’s safe to say, it was on FIRE last night.

If you’ve never had the chance to experience Kensington Market’s Winter Solstice Festival before, here are some incredible photos and videos from last night’s spectacle…
