Toronto Island
What: While the Toronto Island is always an ideal spot to snap some scenic pics, its views are unparalleled in the winter when the frozen lake and icy skyline create the ultimate backdrop. And as much as you may be tempted, do not hop on that icy water. For safety reasons, Toronto police have warned everyone to stay on land. Please snap photos safely!

Niagara Falls
What: Just over one hour west of Toronto you’ll discover some of the most spectacular sights in all of Canada. Featuring sweeping views of Niagara Falls, this stunning landmark is especially photographic during the winter months when the falls and the surrounding areas appear to be frozen in time.

High Park
What: You can’t be a true Torontonian without paying High Park a visit, especially during the winter when the grounds resemble a snowy, winter wonderland. The best part is you’ll feel worlds away from downtown despite still being in the city.

University of Toronto
What: You don’t need to be a U of T student to know that the downtown campus provides an incredible photo backdrop any time of the year. From the stunning architecture and courtyards to the sprawling campus, a visit to U of T definitely needs to on your winter photo bucket list.

What: Even during the colder months, Toronto’s Polson Pier is a popular photo op spot. With unparalleled views of the icy Toronto skyline, this location is definitley a must-see.

What: While a visit to Toronto’s most photographable beach might not be at the top of your to-do list during the winter months, it’s definitely worth the visit when after a snowfall when the pink beach umbrellas pop against the stark white snow.

What: Nothing will get you more psyched for winter than watching the snow fall at James Gardens. If you’re hoping to witness the ultimate winter display, this park is definitely worth the visit.

Nathan Phillips Square
What: Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, Nathan Phillips Square is home to everything you need for a perfect winter day. From the outdoor skating rink (which is free to use) to the massive Toronto sign and urban views of City Hall, this spot needs to be at the top of your winter Instagram bucket list.

Humber Bay Park
What: Located west of the city, you’ll find Humber Bay Park, home to some of the most scenic views in all of Toronto. Featuring sweeping lake and city skyline, this stunning park and its surrounding walking trails turn into a frozen winter wonderland during the colder months and the results are nothing short of amazing.

Trinity Bellwoods Park
What: Regardless of what season it is, Trinity Bellwoods Park is one of the best spots in the city to take in some serious Toronto views. Pack a thermos filled with coffee (and Baileys) and spend an afternoon with your friends wandering through the park as you take in the beautiful sights.

Bentway Skate Trail
What: New to Toronto this winter is the Bentway Skate Trail, a 220-metre figure eight loop that runs below the Gardiner Expressway. You’ll come for the skating but leave with some incredible shots of the Toronto skyline from a whole new perspective.

Scarborough Bluffs
What: There’s no better way to take in the views than from up above! While it’s no secret that the Scarborough Bluffs offer incredible scenic views year round, it’s pretty incredible when you can view the icy landscape from 300 feet above the ground. Spend an afternoon walking along the trails bordering the bluffs, as you enjoy the views of Lake Ontario. Again, please respect signs and enjoy this park safely.

What: Ontario Place recently turned into a year-round destination, with the welcomed addition of Winter at Ontario Place, a winter-themed festival featuring an outdoor light exhibit, skating, and plenty of photo opportunities.

Riverdale Park
What: Riverdale Park isn’t just known for having some of the most picturesque views of the Toronto skyline, it’s also home to an outdoor ice rink, and a massive tobogganing hill, making it a must-see during the winter months.
