Toronto currently has a 60-70% chance of getting a white Christmas this year

Are you dreaming of a white Christmas?

If so, this may be your year.

According to Peter Kimbell at Environment Canada, Toronto has pretty good chance for  white Christmas.

Kimbell said with the 7 to 8 cm of snow already on the ground, and more snow in the forecast, there’s a 60 to 70% chance of a white Christmas.

The Weather Network is currently showing a system moving into Toronto days before Christmas. Starting December 21, it’s forecast to snow up to 15 cm, with additional accumulation to follow until December 23.

While it looks like a sunny Christmas day, all that snow will be on the ground as temperatures will be below freezing the entire time.

US-based AccuWeather is also forecasting an “unsettled pattern” in the days leading up to Christmas may increase odds for a white Christmas in the northeastern States.

Their pattern reflects the same storm hitting Toronto, which means snow is definitely on its way, bringing with it a white Christmas… just like the ones you used to know.
