Apparently spring is already passé.
At least for today, as Toronto can look forward to some very summery temperatures.
The thermometer is expected to reach 22°C by 2 pm today and, according to The Weather Network, it’ll feel like 25°C.
That is bonafide “shorts and sandals, let’s skip out on work and find a patio” kind of weather (yes, even with the 30% chance of rain):
Just in case you needed a closer look:
And while the warm weather is definitely welcome, a 22°C in mid-April isn’t enough to be record breaking.
Environment Canada has recorded the all-time high for April 11 at 26.8°C in 1977. Meanwhile the historical low for today’s date was –7.2°C in 1970.
Based on those numbers, today is looking pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good.
