The Toronto Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who is wanted in a stabbing investigation.

According to Police, on Friday, January 26 at 3:03 pm, officers responded to a call for a stabbing at Stock Yards Village near Keele Street and St. Clair Avenue West.

It is reported that a 24-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk when he had a brief and friendly exchange with a man.

The 24-year-old man continued on but was startled by a scream. When he turned he discovered a man walking towards him with a knife. He was then stabbed through the hand before the suspect fled the scene.

Investigators believe this to be a random, unprovoked attack and are calling the suspect armed, violent and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.
