You can ride an outdoor winter roller coaster at Blue Mountain

While tobogganing has always been a beloved winter past time, sometimes it just doesn’t give you the adrenaline rush that you’re after.
If you’re looking to experience a more daring ride, we highly recommend checking out Blue Mountain Resort’s outdoor roller coaster that you can ride in the winter months.
The Ridge Runner follows a 1-kilometre track that gives you ultimate views of the mountain and reaches speeds of up to 42 km/h – perfect for those looking for more of a thrilling ride.
According to the Blue Mountain website, the ride is simple, equipment-free and perfect for all ages. However, if you’re under 16-years-old, you must ride with an adult.
The Ridge Runner is already in operation and will be open until December 1, meaning you only have a few more weeks to enjoy the ride. However, the ride is only open on Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, and every Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.
Tickets for the ride cost $13 for youth and $16 for adults. However, if you plan on going with a group of friends a 10% discount will be added when four or more passes are purchased.
The ride is only open when weather and conditions are permitting, so we suggest giving the resort a call before to confirm the coaster is operating that day.
