The City of Toronto is reviewing its list of prohibited animals

Apr 26 2017, 3:01 am

Earlier this year, we shared a list of prohibited animals that you’re not allowed to legally have in Toronto.

The long list includes bears, cougars, otters, kangaroos, lemurs, alligators, and elephants.

Now, the City of Toronto is reviewing its list of prohibited animals, and it’s looking for your input.

Two upcoming public meetings will address the issue, and an online survey is also available until May 5.

Meetings will be held of Friday, April 28 at 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at City Hall, Committee Room 3, 100 Queen St West, and on Monday, May 1 at 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Metro Hall, Room 310, 55 John Street.
