There's a huge tailgate party for the Raptors home opener this week

It’s time for this year’s home opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Toronto Raptors are throwing a massive tailgate party to celebrate.

According to our favourite basketball team, the viewing party will take place at Maple Leaf Square aka Jurassic Park on Wednesday, October 17, at 5:30 pm.

Fans in the Square will receive an exclusive home opener t-shirt and enjoy pre-game programming filled with numerous giveaways, partner activations, a live DJ and special guests.

Raptors fans in attendance will also have the chance to win exciting prizes including premium seats, one gondola suite for the October 19 game against the Boston Celtics, over 20 pairs of tickets, autographed Raptors jerseys, and $1,000 cash prize and tickets to the home opener courtesy of Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

Additionally, to celebrate the inaugural season at the newly re-named arena, Scotiabank will be giving away 10,000 FREE, pre-loaded Scotiabank Arena branded PRESTO cards at select TTC ($6) and GO ($8) stations to help get fans to Scotiabank Arena and Maple Leaf Square for the team’s home opener.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early as space for the tailgate party is limited.
