The Toronto Raptors are hosting a pop-up art exhibit.

According to the event, #ArtOfTheNorth is a pop-up art exhibit featuring 100 pieces of Toronto Raptors inspired art created by 40 international and local artists, and it’s hosted by the Toronto Raptors in collaboration with Conscious Basketball.

For the sports and art lovers, a portion of the collection will be available for purchase and there are opportunities to win a piece on display.

The free event will also include a semi-permanent tattoo pop-up by Inkbox, offering free Raptors inspired work for fans.

The art pop-up falls around the Toronto Raptors’ upcoming Welcome Toronto (in partnership with OVO) night against Brooklyn Nets on Friday, January 11.

For fans, Welcome Toronto nights are seen throughout the season, as the Raptors don their 2018-2019 OVO City Edition uniforms.

But this initiative goes beyond the courts.

“It’s a mashup between basketball and culture,” said Michael Bartlett, Head of Community Affairs and Events at MLSE. “Art, culture, basketball, and fashion collide in this campaign.”

The four remaining games to catch the Raptors and OVO activations are on:
Friday, January 11 against Brooklyn Nets
Friday, March 1 against Portland Trail Blazers
Friday, March 14 against Los Angeles Lakers
Friday, March 22 against OKC Thunder
