Toronto taxi driver faces 28 charges following sexual assault on passenger

A 62-year-old Toronto taxi driver has been arrested following a sexual assault that took place last weekend.

According to Toronto Police, on Saturday, August 25 at 4 am, a 32-year-old woman was picked up by a taxi driver in the Queen Street West and Tecumseth Street area downtown.

The woman was sexually assaulted by the taxi driver.

The driver then took her credit card and used it at multiple locations to make purchases, according to police.

On Wednesday, Golam Mustafa surrendered to investigators, was arrested, and charged with sexual assault, nine counts of fraud, nine counts of use stolen credit card, and nine counts of possession of stolen property.
