You’re about to start seeing a greater Toronto police presence near the Rogers Centre and Air Canada Centre during upcoming concerts and games.

According to police, traffic restrictions and enhanced security measures are increasing from now until Sunday, June 24, in and around the area of Bremner Street from Spadina Avenue to York Street.

A spokesperson for the Toronto police told Daily Hive the summer usually has an increase of outdoor events, so these restrictions and enhanced security measures will most likely happen again.

The area surrounding the Rogers Centre will also have controlled access with police checkpoints. While it’s unclear how the checkpoints will work, police say it’s to ensure enhanced public safety while limiting the flow of vehicular traffic in the area.
