Police arrest 50-year-old man in connection to Bloor-Yonge Station homicide

A man has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection to a homicide at Bloor-Yonge Station.

According to police, on Monday, June 18 around 10:22 am, officers responded to a call on the eastbound platform of Bloor-Yonge Station.

It’s alleged that a man caused another man to fall onto the subway tracks and he was hit by an oncoming train.

The man was injured and taken to a nearby hospital only to succumb to his injuries.

Police arrested a 50-year-old man on the scene and he was charged with first-degree murder. He will appear in court at College Park on Tuesday, June 19.

Investigators say there were people who witnessed this incident, but they, unfortunately, left the station before police arrived.
