New Ontario Place park and waterfront trail on opening day (PHOTOS)

Yesterday we told you all about Ontario Place’s new urban park and waterfront trail that’s now open to the public.

The new Trillium Park and William G. Davis Trail were officially opened by Premier Kathleen Wynne and Eleanor McMahon, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, yesterday morning. This marks the first phase of the province’s plan to transform the landmark into a year-round destination.

Torontonian Kevin Douglas headed over to Ontario Place to check out the new park yesterday and came back with these stunning images.

We’re not sure what your weekend plans are, but they should probably involve checking out Trillium Park…
