There's a huge tailgate party for the Leafs home opener this week

It’s time for this year’s home opener against the rival Montreal Canadiens, and the Toronto Maple Leafs are throwing a massive tailgate party to celebrate.

According to our favourite hockey team, the viewing party will take place at Maple Leaf Square on Wednesday, October 3, at 5 pm.

Fans in the Square will enjoy pre-game programming filled with numerous giveaways, partner activations, a live DJ and special guests including Carlton the Bear and notable Maple Leafs alumni.

Leafs fans in attendance will also have the chance to win exciting prizes including tickets to the home opener and future games, 2018-2019 season tickets courtesy of Ford Canada, and an autographed Leafs jerseys.

Additionally, to celebrate the inaugural season at the newly re-named arena, Scotiabank will be giving away 10,000 FREE, pre-loaded Scotiabank Arena branded PRESTO cards at select TTC ($6) and GO ($8) stations to help get fans to Scotiabank Arena and Maple Leaf Square for the team’s home opener.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early as space for the Tailgate Party is limited.
