After being under a heat warning for over a week, the alert in Toronto has finally been lifted.

The heat warning was first issued ahead of the long weekend on June 28, as temperatures were forecasted to feel above 40°C all weekend.

The warning was lifted early Friday morning as a cold front has made its way to Toronto and the GTA, giving Torontonians a much-needed relief from the heat.

According to Environment Canada, it’s going to reach a high of 25°C in Toronto on Friday, with temperatures gradually rising over the weekend.

By Monday, temperatures will return to the low 30s, with a high of 31°C and a mix of sun and clouds expected.
