Skating at Harbourfront Centre

What: When the weather starts to drop, it means it’s officially time to go skating. The Natrel Rink is complete with heated indoor change rooms and its own rink-side bar and grill for those interested in getting a snack post-skate. The best part? Skating at the Harbourfront rink is totally free. 

When: January 11, 10 am to 10 pm

Brendan George Ko: Moemoeā

What: Moemoeā is a new solo exhibit from Canadian artist Brendan George Ko that explores the re-emergence of the Polynesian voyaging canoe in contemporary Hawai’i. Tonight is the official opening of the exhibit, which is located at CONTACT Gallery this winter.

When: January 11, 6 pm to 9 pm

A Mexican Fiesta

What: It might not be Tuesday, but tacos are definitley on the menu tonight at Teller’s Bar and Lounge. Come and enjoy a fun fiesta featuring Mariachi Los Gallos and an El Jimador Tequila Sampling. Plus incredible Mexican-inspired dishes to spice up your life during these cold winter months.

Chris Hadfield’s Generator

What: Canada’s favourite astronaut, Chris Hadfield, will be hosting the third annual Generator series, which will include presenters from different walks of life, creating an evening unlike anything else in the city. This year’s theme is ‘The Second Genius’ and will host a variety of incredible talents from the UK, Europe, Canada and the United States.

When: January 11, 8 pm to 10 pm

Toronto Raptors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

What: The Toronto Raptors will be facing off against King Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers this evening. Tickets are still available, and they start at $145. Tip-off is at 8 pm.
