With fall kicking off this Friday, it’s time to officially say farewell to summer.

And there’s better way to get welcome a new season than by heading out into the city and checking out some of the awesome new events and activities happening.

From the highly anticipated Invictus Games to Canada’s largest FREE book and magazine festival, here are the top Toronto events of the week. 

Etsy Made in Canada 

What: The fourth annual flagship Etsy Made in Canada show is back for another exciting season in Toronto. Co-hosted by the Toronto Etsy Street Team and 416Hustler, this event will feature a variety of handmade and vintage goods from Canadian Etsy sellers. If you’re passionate about one-of-a-kind goods, you definitelywon’tt’ want to miss this unique event!

Butter Tart Taste Off

What: If you’ve got a serious sweet tooth, we recommend heading to the annual Butter Tart Taste Off this weekend. The Peterborough Farmers’ Market will transform into a massive butter tart competition, where competitors vie for the honour of best butter tart flavours in various categories.

Invictus Games

What: The 2017 Invictus Games will be taking over Toronto this month and while most major sporting events are ticketed, there are plenty of free events as well. Free sports include archery, wheelchair tennis, cycling, golf, and the Jaguar Land Rover Driving Challenge.

In addition to the headliners, there will also be 42 exciting comedy acts to check out as well.
